PRIVACY POLICY
Your data, clearly explained.
Effective date: September 1, 2026
Orbit Vector is a one-touch physics game. It does not require an account and does not ask for a real name, email address, contacts, photos, microphone access, or precise location.
Information stored on the device
Orbit Vector stores the following information locally:
- the player's callsign;
- the local best score and sound preference; and
- an anonymous player ID and leaderboard credential.
Players can erase this local information and their leaderboard profile from Privacy & Data inside the app. An internet connection is required to confirm leaderboard deletion.
Global leaderboard
When a player chooses a callsign and plays a run, Orbit Vector sends the callsign, anonymous player credential, run-start event, and successful landing sequence to the leaderboard service. The service calculates the verified score and keeps one best score for each anonymous player profile. Abuse reports include the reporting profile and the reported leaderboard entry.
The service stores a one-way hash of the credential rather than the credential itself. Leaderboard information is used to provide rankings, moderate callsigns, prevent abuse, and operate the service. Direct client-supplied scores are not accepted.
Hosting and network providers may process ordinary connection information, such as an IP address and request metadata, to deliver and protect the service.
Advertising
Orbit Vector uses Google AdMob to display banner and interstitial advertisements. The app requests non-personalized ads and uses Google's User Messaging Platform to present consent or privacy choices where required.
AdMob and its service providers may process an IP-derived general location, device or app identifiers, product interactions, ad impressions and interactions, crash data, performance data, and other diagnostic information for advertising, measurement, fraud prevention, and service reliability.
Orbit Vector does not request Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission in version 1.0 and does not intentionally request personalized ads. Learn more in the Google Privacy Policy.
Remove Ads purchase
Players may make a one-time Remove Ads purchase through Apple's in-app purchase system. Apple processes the payment and maintains the purchase record. Orbit Vector checks Apple's verified entitlement to restore access on the same Apple Account. Orbit Vector does not receive payment-card or bank-account information.
When the entitlement is active, Orbit Vector does not request or display AdMob banner or interstitial ads.
Retention, deletion, and security
Local information remains until the player deletes it or removes the app. Leaderboard records remain until removed through moderation or a verified deletion request. The in-app deletion action removes the leaderboard profile, score, verified-run records, and reports before clearing local information.
A player who cannot use the in-app deletion action may request removal by emailing LeeeMcLeod@me.com with the callsign and approximate score. Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Reasonable safeguards are used, although no storage or transmission method is completely secure.
Children
Orbit Vector is not directed to children under 13. Advertising is limited to Google's General content rating. If you believe a child submitted personal information through a callsign, email LeeeMcLeod@me.com so it can be reviewed and removed.
Changes and contact
This policy may be updated if Orbit Vector's features, service providers, or legal obligations change. Material updates will appear here with a revised effective date.
Questions and privacy requests can be sent to LeeeMcLeod@me.com.
